Maxx Crosby kept his offseason music run going on Friday, releasing a new song titled “Double R” and sharing the track’s music video on YouTube and X.
The 28-year-old edge rusher has now rolled out three songs in 2025, adding “Double R” to “2AM in Vegas,” which arrived on April 23, and “PlaqueBoy Maxx,” which dropped May 8. Crosby teased a debut EP in July 2025, turning what would usually be a quiet football break into a steady side project that has followed him through the summer.
The release lands after an offseason that briefly appeared headed in a very different direction. On March 6, the Raiders agreed to trade Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for two first-round draft picks, only for Baltimore to back out of the transaction four days later. Instead, Crosby is set to enter his eighth season with Las Vegas, keeping one of the team’s most recognizable players in place after a turbulent stretch behind the scenes.
That matters because Crosby’s value on the field remains easy to measure. In the 2025 campaign, he recorded 73 tackles, 28 tackles for loss and 10 sacks, production that helped reinforce why he is one of the league’s most disruptive defenders. The Raiders have also added another layer to the backdrop around him, selecting Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft, a move that signals how much the team is still reshaping itself around the years ahead.
For now, the music is keeping Crosby in the public eye while Las Vegas continues to live with the fallout from a trade that nearly happened and then vanished. The next chapter is the one the Raiders and Crosby have to play together, and that is likely to matter more than any offseason release when the new season opens.
