Montgomery County deputies responded to an active shooting on Nottingham Street near Kings Colony on Wednesday, after the sheriff’s office said multiple people were shot in eastern Montgomery County.

Authorities told people to avoid the area and warned neighborhood residents to obey commands from law enforcement as deputies worked near I-69 and SH 99. A social media post described the scene as an “Active Shooter Situation near Kings Colony.”
