Andre has committed his future to Wolves, signing a new four-year contract that keeps him at Molineux until 2030, with the option of a further year. The 24-year-old midfielder has become one of the club’s key figures since arriving in August 2024, and the deal comes as Wolves prepare for life in the Championship next season.
He has played 74 times across the past two campaigns and was twice voted the supporters’ Player of the Month in his debut season. Andre also delivered one of the club’s defining moments of the year when he scored a dramatic injury-time winner against Liverpool at Molineux in March, a strike that underlined why he was instrumental in Wolves’ Premier League survival.
Nathan Shi said the club were “absolutely delighted” that Andre had committed his future to Wolves. He added that the midfielder believes in what the club is building, has full belief that promotion can be achieved as soon as possible, and wants to be part of Wolves’ future. Shi also said the new deal was “a huge statement of intent” and a signal to other players that Wolves are building a team hungry to get back to where it belongs.
Andre’s rise in the West Midlands has been quick. Before moving to Wolverhampton from Fluminense, he had spent his entire career with the Brazilian club. Since then he has earned eight caps while at Wolves and developed into a player the club clearly sees as central to the rebuild after relegation was confirmed last month.
Rob Edwards said Andre is “a great guy and is incredibly professional” and called him “a dream to work with.” Edwards added that he has grown into a leader and will continue to do so the more he is around the football club. He said the midfielder’s decision to stay shows that the club’s best players are willing to fight for the cause, while Matt Jackson said Wolves were delighted to have Andre as an integral part of their quest to get back into the Premier League as quickly as possible.
The new contract leaves Wolves with one of their most established players tied down as they head into a season that will be judged almost entirely on the speed of their response. Andre has already shown he can adapt, influence big matches and carry responsibility. Now the club is asking him to do it again, this time in the Championship, with promotion the only target that will satisfy the mood around Molineux.
