is back at Ashton Court Estate in Bristol on May 23 and 24, and organisers are warning festivalgoers to pack carefully before arriving at Bristol's biggest music festival. The two-day event, which opens the city's summer festival season, will bring artists from across the globe to eight stages, but some items will not be making it through the gates.

Organisers have issued a list of prohibited items for the weekend, and some will be taken away if they are found during bag searches at entry. In some cases, banned items could stop people entering the festival altogether, and confiscated items will not be returned. Anyone who needs an exception has been told to email [email protected] before the event.

The warnings come before a busy outdoor weekend in Bristol, where most stages and viewing platforms will be uncovered. Attendees are being told to check the weather forecast before they pack, and to remember that medication must be in its original packaging with the prescription label still attached. Festival staff will also check ID, and the event will need to see a document with the attendee's name, face and the holographic PASS logo. Photos of ID will not be accepted.

Food and drink rules are strict too. Visitors are not allowed to bring their own food and drink, although empty reusable water bottles are permitted and water refilling stations will be spread around the site. Bars and food traders will be available throughout the festival, but payments will be cashless, with cards and Apple Pay or Google Pay required at bars and food stands.

The festival has also set out what happens if people need to carry less with them. A cloakroom will operate in the Info Tent at £4 for a small item and £7 for a larger one, while portable phone chargers will be available to rent from near the medical and welfare tents for £15 plus a £25 deposit. The deposit will be refunded when the powerbank is returned.

For a festival that marks the start of Bristol's summer season, the message is simple: plan ahead or risk leaving items at the gate. Love Saves The Day 2026 may be sold as a weekend of music and crowd-pleasing stages, but entry will depend on whether attendees follow the rules before they reach the first set.
