Two large graffiti tags were discovered on the back of a supermarket on Stiftstraße in Hartenstein on Monday afternoon, after unknown perpetrators had sprayed the wall sometime between Friday evening and then. Police said the damage is estimated at 1,000 euros.
The markings were done in silver, blue and black. One of the graffiti measured 2.5 by 8 meters, while the other covered 3 by 5 meters, making the incident difficult to miss once it was found.
The supermarket wall is now the focus of an investigation by police in Werdau, who are asking anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses can call the police station in Werdau at 03761 7020.
The case comes from official authorities' information and was prepared with the help of AI, but the facts point to a straightforward pattern: the graffiti was painted out of sight, then left behind on a prominent surface until it was noticed Monday afternoon. That leaves investigators with the same question that matters now — who was on Stiftstraße over the weekend and saw enough to help identify the people responsible.
