Forza Horizon 6 is now playable on Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC through the Xbox app and Steam, while the PlayStation 5 version is set to arrive later this year. Players on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass can access the Standard Edition at no additional cost, and the game is also available through Xbox Cloud Gaming on supported devices.
The launch gives the racing series one of its broadest rollouts yet. Forza Horizon 6 arrives with more than 550 cars, and its setting in Japan anchors a map described as the most dense the series has built so far, with vertical routes, varied biomes and the kind of high-speed driving set pieces the franchise leans on.
For PlayStation players, the practical move now is to wishlist the game on the PlayStation Store so they can be notified when it becomes available. That timing matters because the PS5 version is part of a staggered release that keeps the game in front of Xbox and PC players first, even as the wider audience on Sony’s console waits for the later rollout.
There is also a bigger live-service layer around the game than a simple launch window suggests. Three full-game bundles are available on the Microsoft Store and Steam, and a Premium Upgrade is offered for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members as well as Standard or Deluxe Edition owners. The Festival Playlist opens after players qualify for the Horizon Festival and earn their first Wristband, and future updates are set to bring Evolving World changes for all players, including seasonal Car Meets.
That mix points to a release built to keep expanding after day one rather than one that peaks at launch. The unanswered question now is less whether Forza Horizon 6 will reach PlayStation 5 than how much of the game’s online and seasonal structure will be in place when it does.
