When Does Dutton Ranch Episode 3 Come Out?

Dutton Ranch Episode 3, titled "Act of God Business," premieres this Friday, May 22, 2026, at 3:01 AM ET on Paramount+. Annette Bening steps more fully into the story as Beulah Jackson, the owner and operator of rival 10 Petal Ranch — a larger-than-life Texas businesswoman who is expected to clash sharply with Beth and Rip as they try to do business on her turf.

The Plot — Beth and Rip's New Life in South Texas

The opening scenes of Dutton Ranch show Beth and Rip at their home in Dillon, Montana, from the Yellowstone series finale. A lightning strike causes a fire that decimates the region and destroys their house and ranch, forcing the couple to relocate. They hear of a ranch in Rio Paloma, Texas, called the Edwards Ranch, and head south to start over.

As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together — far from the ghosts of Yellowstone — they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul.

Dutton Ranch Reviews — What Critics Are Saying

On Rotten Tomatoes, Dutton Ranch holds an 85% approval rating based on 27 critic reviews. Reviews are broadly positive but tempered, with critics praising Kelly Reilly's performance while noting familiar territory.

Reilly consistently delivers the more compelling performance, though critics note it is unlikely Dutton Ranch will make as big a splash as Yellowstone did. Some reviews describe signs of franchise fatigue, with one calling it "the same mix of brutality and soapy camp transplanted to pastures new," while another praised it as solid but familiar.
