Latto said on Monday that she has given birth to her first child, confirming the news on Instagram and ending months of speculation about the pregnancy she first revealed in March. The 27-year-old rapper shared a video tracing the pregnancy journey and closed it with audio of herself giving birth.
The video included intimate clips of Latto with 21 Savage, the 33-year-old rapper widely believed to be the father of the baby. The post marked the first public confirmation that the child was theirs.
Latto had tied the pregnancy reveal to the rollout for her Big Mama album in March, when she showed her bump in the Business & Personal music video but did not name the father. Even so, the clues were hard to miss. One shot showed 21 Savage’s tattooed hand on Latto’s bare belly. Another had her flipping through a scrapbook that appeared to feature his baby photos. She also displayed a dagger tattoo on her lower back that matched the one on his forehead, and she has a tattoo of her rumored partner’s name behind her ear.
The pair never addressed the speculation directly at the time. Reps for Latto and 21 Savage did not respond to requests for comment, and Latto did not tag him in her March pregnancy post. Still, 21 Savage shared her Paper magazine cover later that month to his Instagram Story with the line, “Big Mama Not the Little 1.”
21 Savage, who is already father to sons Kamari and Ashaad with his rumored wife, Keyanna Joseph, has been linked romantically to Latto since 2020. Joseph liked Latto’s pregnancy post in March, adding another layer to a relationship that has largely stayed out of the spotlight even as the hints piled up.
Latto later told TMZ in 2025 that she referred to 21 Savage as her husband, a comment that now reads as one more piece in a trail of clues that stretched from the album rollout to Monday’s announcement. The question was never whether the pregnancy was real. It was whether she would say out loud who it was with. She has now done that.
