Fredrik Lindgren was left badly injured after a heavy crash during Motor Lublin’s away match against Unia Leszno on Sunday evening, and he is now set to miss the weekend’s GP. The rider from Örebro was thrown over the handlebars and left the track in an ambulance.
The crash came in the third heat, when Lindgren tried to pass Keynan Rew on the second lap while fighting for third place. Rew moved out to block him, and Lindgren went down in a bad fall that stopped the race and quickly turned concern toward the extent of the damage.
First reports after the incident pointed to pain in one shoulder and one foot, but no fuller diagnosis was given. That left the immediate picture limited even as the consequences became clear: Lindgren would not be available for the weekend’s GP, a setback that matters well beyond one league night.
The match itself is now a backdrop to the bigger concern, which is Lindgren’s condition after being thrown over the handlebars and taken away by ambulance. For Motor Lublin, the away trip ended with more questions than points; for Lindgren, the next step is recovery, with the weekend’s GP already slipping out of reach.
