The music tease lands after a turbulent stretch in Ballerini’s personal life. She and Chase Stokes first got together in January 2023, briefly called it quits in September 2025, got back together after that breakup and then split again in February. A source told Us Weekly, “Kelsea and Chase have broken up again. It happened just the other day,” while a source told People that “their lives are in very different places right now” and that “Kelsea's been so supportive of him throughout their relationship, but it hasn't been reciprocated.”
That backdrop helps explain why even a casual-looking post has drawn so much attention.
