Marvel Rivals Season 8 begins on May 15, 2026, at 09:00:00 UTC, and the update brings Devil Dinosaur into the hero roster as the game pushes into a new round of story, cosmetics and esports features. Maintenance for the patch is expected to last about 2 hours.
The season is built around the new serial Sins of Alchemax and the Devil Dinosaur lore piece The Devil in the Details. It also adds the Hulk Infinity Hulk Bundle, the Deadpool Monster King Bundle, the Devil Dinosaur Chrono-Armor Bundle, the Devil Dinosaur Tropical Beast outfit and the Devil Dinosaur Emoji Bundle, while Rogue gets the Starlit Rebel Chroma Midnight Mirage and High Noon with Ultimate Ability VFX and Jeff the Land Shark gets the Devil Landshark Chroma Magma Menace and Rosy Ruin with Ultimate Ability VFX.
Devil Dinosaur also gets a new Take a Seat...or Squat? animation, and new accessories arrive for Devil Dinosaur, Black Widow, The Thing, Angela, Namor, Hela and The Punisher. The Battle Pass, Project: Heroic Age, features 10 brand-new sets of heroic costumes, with Rogue Starlit Rebel, Jeff the Land Shark Devil Landshark and Gambit Barrier Buster among the highlighted looks. A new Devil Dino Hide and Seek event asks players to help Lunella track down her colossal companion, with Units, Chrono Tokens, Gallery Cards and other rewards for completing missions.
The rollout comes as the game extends its crossover-heavy seasonal cadence with another round of time-limited rewards. Twitch Drops for Season 8 begin on May 15, 2026, at 12:00:00 UTC and run through June 12, 2026, at 09:00:00 UTC, offering the Rogue Will of Galacta costume and related bundle content. Marvel Rivals Ignite: Stage 1 is also officially underway, with its Drops window running from May 22, 2026, at 16:00:00 UTC to June 19, 2026, at 16:00:00 UTC and handing out 100 Chrono Tokens, the Mood Galacta's Glare, the Wolverine Will of Galacta Nameplate and the Portal Pool Oopsie Spray.
Gold Rank players will receive the exclusive Devil Dinosaur Corporate Cruncher costume, a prize that gives the competitive ladder a sharper edge than a simple seasonal badge. The esports side is getting the biggest overhaul in the update, with a fully integrated hub that now includes live streams, battle notifications, real-time VOD replays, advanced combat analytics and deep-dive dossiers. Players can also copy pro players' custom crosshairs from profiles set per hero, preview upcoming matches on the Livestreams page and use Timeline Reconstructions for Match Ongoing Group Stage matches.
Season 7 community feedback helped drive the esports changes, and the new tools show the game trying to turn spectator interest into something closer to a built-in broadcast platform. The Season 8 launch, the arrival of Devil Dinosaur and the return of familiar names like Rogue, Jeff the Land Shark and Gambit give the update a clear pitch: this is not just another cosmetics drop, but a season designed to keep rivals, fans and competitors looking in the same place at the same time.
