’s return to reality television came with a noticeably different look, and he made clear why. After appearing on in 2024 with thinning hair, Presnell showed up on with a fuller hairline, dental work and a new confidence that quickly drew attention at the premiere.

The reaction was immediate. said on the Perfect Match premiere episode that “Jimmy’s glow-up since Love Is Blind did not go unnoticed,” and Presnell later poked fun at the attention himself on the official cast photo posted to Instagram, asking, “Chat do we like this pic more than my last TV appearance lol.”

Presnell has said the biggest change was a hair transplant, which he described as one of the best decisions he ever made. He said he wanted “a little bit more hair there” and ended up with a full head of hair on Perfect Match after years of thinning on Love Is Blind. He said the transplant was done in the United States, cost about AUD $15,000, and involved a little over 2,000 grafts, or about 2,100 to 2,200. At roughly USD $5 a graft, he said the procedure came to about USD $10,000 to $11,000.

Presnell also said he looked at cheaper options during the evaluation process, with quotes ranging from USD $3,000 to $5,000. Those offers included flights and hotels, he said, but not the ongoing consultation and direct relationship with the surgeon that came with staying in the United States. “It included flights, it included hotels, all that good stuff, but there was no ongoing consultation or talking to your surgeon,” he said.

That same openness extended to his teeth. Presnell said he did not get veneers after Love Is Blind, despite the rumors that followed him online. Instead, he said he had composite bonding done only to the front two teeth, along with Invisalign to correct crooked teeth. He said the bonding elongated his smile because he had been grinding his teeth badly, and that he had braces at one point before stopping wear of his retainer a couple of months later, which led to the teeth shifting again. He said the retainers had helped keep his teeth aligned and also worked as a nighttime protector.

The attention around Presnell’s appearance matters because his turn on Perfect Match invited direct comparison with the man viewers saw on Love Is Blind. He had already spoken publicly about the hair transplant and dental work on TikTok and Instagram, but the new show put the transformation in front of a much larger audience and revived the questions that tend to follow reality stars who reappear with a different face, hairline or smile. Presnell has now answered those questions plainly: the change was real, and it was mostly the result of a hair transplant, composite bonding and Invisalign rather than veneers or mystery makeover talk.
