Thursday is set to begin with cloud cover across most of Cyprus, and those clouds may bring rain before the sky starts to clear later in the day. A layer of dust is also expected in the atmosphere, adding another reason for people to watch how todays weather develops through the afternoon.
Temperatures are forecast to climb to 31 degrees Celsius inland, 25 degrees on the west coast, 27 degrees on the rest of the coasts and 21 degrees in the mountains. That makes Thursday feel warm in the lowlands even as the morning starts unsettled, with the possibility of brief rain in some areas before clearer skies take hold.
Overnight, skies are expected to remain largely clear. Fog may form in the early hours of Friday morning, when temperatures are expected to fall to 14 degrees Celsius inland, 16 degrees on the coasts and nine degrees in the mountains. The drop will be noticeable after Thursday’s warmth, especially away from the shoreline and in higher ground.
Friday is expected to turn partly cloudy, with isolated showers possible, and Saturday should look largely the same. Temperatures are forecast to dip on Friday before rising again over the weekend, leaving Cyprus with a brief cooler spell rather than a lasting shift in the pattern. For now, the main story is a day of cloud, dust and possible rain giving way to clearer skies and a more settled but changeable end to the week.
