The Cleveland Browns added Audric Estimé to their active roster on Wednesday, bringing in a running back as the season moves into its next stretch. At the same time, Raheim Sanders was placed on injured reserve after a hip injury, a move that immediately changes the backfield picture in Cleveland.
Estimé will wear No. 36 and arrives with three seasons of NFL experience behind him. He was originally drafted by Denver in the fifth round in 2024, has appeared in 20 career games with the Broncos and Saints, and has 122 career carries for 508 yards and three touchdowns along with 17 receptions for 170 yards.
The timing matters because Sanders had been part of the Browns' weekly rotation. He played in all five games this season before the hip injury suffered at the New York Jets, finishing with 43 rushing yards and 11 catches for 74 yards. Losing him on the same day Cleveland added Estimé leaves the team shuffling depth now, not later.
That roster cycle also included other practice squad moves, with Devin Culp and Vershon Lee added and Myles Bryant and James Proche II released. But the key change is simple: Estimé is now on the active roster, and the Browns need to decide how quickly he can be used while Sanders begins a recovery that does not have a public timetable.
