UTSA is set to turn Oct. 8 into a live day at the Alamodome, with SportsCenter on Campus scheduled to roll in before the Roadrunners face South Florida at 6:30 p.m. The network’s pregame show is expected to air at 4 p.m., after students are invited to gather at Rowdy Town Live at 3 p.m.
The move gives the matchup a national spotlight before kickoff and adds another trip to San Antonio for ’s campus show after UTSA Athletics hosted the largest SportsCenter on Campus in history last year. This time, the first 5,000 current students in attendance will receive a free T-shirt, a detail that helps explain why the campus crowd is being asked to show up hours before the game begins.
That schedule matters because the event is being framed as a campus celebration even though it will be staged in the stadium area before the game, not during it. UTSA said shuttles will run from the North Paseo Bus Oval beginning at 3 p.m., with return service starting at the opening of the fourth quarter and continuing until one hour after the game ends.
Matt Barrie will anchor the 4 p.m. show, giving the night its clearest deadline. For UTSA, the next step is simple: fill the seats, get students to the Alamodome on time and make another national broadcast feel like part of the buildup to South Florida, not just a stop on ’s schedule.
