The 49ers moved to No. 1 in the Week 4 Fantasy Rankings after three weeks of football, taking over the top spot in a league that still looks unsettled. The Raiders and Vikings also moved into the top 10, while the Patriots fell all the way to 31.

That shuffle matters because the rankings were updated after a Week 3 slate that kept shaking up the board. Five teams were still perfect at 3-0, and the Raiders were among them, but the margins were tight everywhere else: 12 of 16 games finished within one score, a reminder that the league hierarchy is still being written in real time.

The top end of the board is not hard to understand. The Chiefs beat the Dolphins on Sunday, the Bills handled the Chargers, and the Seahawks slipped against the Commanders after Sam Darnold threw two interceptions. The Ravens’ passing game opened back up when Zay Flowers returned, and the Broncos have been leaning on a defense that has held long enough for the offense to wake up in most weeks.

One of the clearest individual moments came from Travis Hunter, who recorded his first career interception in the Jaguars’ easy win over the Patriots. That same result pushed New England deeper down the list, and it fit a day when the Patriots simply could not keep pace.

Still, the 49ers’ place at No. 1 comes with a warning label. It is fair to wonder whether a softer schedule and the injuries around them will hold up when the opposition gets stronger, which is why this ranking feels more like a snapshot than a verdict. The next update will tell whether San Francisco is truly the league’s best team or just the cleanest answer after a messy first three weeks.
