Evan Stewart used Friday to put his latest off-field move in front of the public: a new partnership with McDonald’s Oregon. The post arrived only days after he made his long-awaited return for the No. 6 Oregon Ducks in Week 1, turning a comeback game into the start of a new NIL chapter.

The timing matters because Stewart is not a fringe name trying to get noticed. He has 2.1 million followers on TikTok, 75.6 million likes there, 270,000 Instagram followers and more than 30,200 followers on X. That kind of reach helps explain why his brand keeps growing, and why McDonald’s Oregon fits into the same pattern as his March work with Oregon’s DOAF and the Nike Air Max 95 BB PE promotion that included Jamari Johnson, Dierre Hill Jr. and Iverson Hooks.

Stewart’s own post framed the deal as another step in a fast-moving NIL run, and it came at a moment when his on-field comeback was still being measured. His first game back from a torn patellar injury produced mixed results, even if he and Dante Moore looked comfortable connecting against the Boise State Broncos in front of the Autzen Stadium crowd. The injury had kept Stewart out for the entirety of the 2025 season, so every snap now carries more weight than the last.

That is the part that makes Friday’s announcement more than a routine endorsement. Stewart is trying to rebuild a football season and a personal brand at the same time, and Oregon is leaning into both. With Week 2 bringing a road test against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, the open question is not whether Stewart can attract attention. It is how quickly his return and his NIL profile can start pointing in the same direction.
