Crawford's place in that group rests on more than longevity. He spent 13 seasons in San Francisco from 2011 to 2023, then joined the St. Louis Cardinals in 2024, and finished his Giants career with 1,404 hits, 674 runs, 147 home runs and 748 RBIs in 14 MLB seasons. He was also a three-time All-Star and played shortstop through his prime years with the Giants, the kind of steady presence teams usually remember long after the final game.
The honor matters because the Giants did not just celebrate the stars of one season. They were recognizing players tied to three World Series titles from 2010, 2012 and 2014, and Crawford was part of the latter two championship runs. That made his selection easy to understand even though he was not on the 2010 title team: the Wall of Fame was reflecting the core that carried the Giants through the rest of that five-year stretch.
