FK Bodø/Glimt and Union Saint-Gilloise will meet again on 11 August 2026, this time at Aspmyra Stadium in Bodø, with the winner of their Champions League qualifying tie moving on to the final play-off. The return leg starts at 18:00 local time, and the prize is simple: stay one round away from the Champions League league phase.
The timing is why the search spike is happening now. Supporters already know the first leg is scheduled seven days earlier in Ostend, and the second leg in Bodø will decide who keeps the bigger European dream alive. Aspmyra holds 8,200 spectators, so demand around a match of this size is likely to be intense.
The meeting also brings together two sides with strong recent form, even if they arrive there in different ways. Union Saint-Gilloise won the Belgian regular season last season and then lifted the Super Cup after beating Club Brugge on penalties. Bodø/Glimt, meanwhile, were top after 16 rounds of the Norwegian championship with 38 points from 12 wins, two draws and two defeats, and a goal difference of 41-11. They had also won five league matches in a row and kept five straight clean sheets before this return leg.
That strength has not removed the strain from Bodø/Glimt’s camp. Kasper Høgh left at the end of July after scoring seven goals and adding four assists in 12 league appearances, while Håkon Evjen was injured in the victory away at Sandefjord and is expected to be out for some time. Evjen had scored five league goals before the injury, and his absence leaves Patrick Berg to remain the focal point of Bodø/Glimt’s possession. Jens Petter Hauge, who scored with a header in the 4-0 victory against Lillestrøm, adds another route to goal, but the gap left by Høgh is harder to ignore.
That is the friction in this tie: Bodø/Glimt look sharp, but they are chasing a place in the final play-off without one of their most productive forwards and without Evjen, one of the midfielders who had helped drive their domestic surge.
