Je'Von Evans says the path to becoming The GOAT in professional wrestling is already there. In a new interview, the WWE RAW roster member said he believes he can face anybody, have great matches and get through every person in the locker room — with one warning attached: the biggest obstacle is himself.
That is why his latest remarks are drawing attention now. Evans is one of the young names breaking out in WWE, and he is not talking about wanting a chance someday. He is talking about the standard he thinks he can reach today. When he framed the goal in those terms, he made the conversation less about whether he belongs and more about how far he can push himself once the pressure rises.
Evans put the point plainly in a new interview on Battleground. “Honestly, man, I feel like I can get through any and everybody on the roster. You know what I mean? I can face anybody. We can have great matches. But I feel like the main person that’s stopping me from getting to that goal is me. For real,” he said. The quote matters because it does two things at once: it shows the confidence that has followed him onto WWE RAW, and it turns the focus inward, where he says the real test begins.
That inward turn is what makes the statement sharper than a standard rising-star boast. Evans is not claiming the roster is out of reach. He is saying the roster is manageable. The part he has not solved, by his own account, is whether he can keep himself from becoming the thing that slows him down. That is a different kind of challenge, and it is the one he put at the center of his ambition.
It also fits with what he said last month, when he said he had wanted to be a professional wrestler from the earliest days of his fandom in wrestling. The long view matters here because it shows this is not a passing line for attention. Evans has been chasing this for a long time, and now that he is on WWE RAW, the question is no longer whether he dreams big. It is whether he can turn that belief into a run that matches the size of the claim.
For now, the next step is simple to describe and hard to do: prove it in WWE. Evans has set the standard himself, and he has also named the person he thinks can hold him back. If he really is one of the young stars breaking out in professional wrestling, the open question is not whether he can talk like The GOAT in waiting. It is whether he can keep out of his own way long enough to become one.
