That added weight is what makes the timing matter now. Supporters heading to TQL Stadium are being asked to plan around a packed pregame window: the prematch party runs from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Washington Park, the March in the Park begins at 6:30 p.m., and entertainment continues at Carl and Martha Lindner Plaza off Central Parkway before kickoff. Fans are also being told to be in their seats early for special prematch presentations throughout the stadium and on the field prior to kickoff.
The complication is the trip in. Wade Street is closed because of construction for the mixed-use district north of TQL Stadium, and fans using the Workhorse Gate are directed down Liberty Street to Central Avenue. Construction on the Brent Spence Bridge is also creating major traffic implications, with the ramp to Winchell Avenue from I-75 North, 9th Street and 6th Street closed through May 2029 and no signed detour for Winchell Avenue. Motorists from 9th Street to I-75 North are routed via 8th Street and Freeman Avenue to I-75, while access from 6th Street to Winchell is closed with a right-lane closure on the ramp.
That leaves Saturday night with two realities at once: a themed home match built to fill the stadium early, and a downtown arrival pattern that can slow the trip before fans reach the gates. The TQL Stadium Team Store opens when gates do, the FC Cincinnati Team Store at 1433 Vine Street in Over-the-Rhine is set to operate from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the best move for anyone attending is to treat the whole evening as one long event, not a 7:30 p.m. arrival.
