Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever opened their post-All-Star schedule against the Seattle Storm on Tuesday night, returning to action after a five-day break with another chance to keep a three-game winning streak moving.
Tipoff was set for 8:30 p.m. CT at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, and fans could watch on, WOI Local 5 in Des Moines and WQAD in the Quad Cities. Indiana came in at 17-10 and had outscored opponents by an average of 19 points per game during the streak, a stretch that has helped turn a midseason reset into a team that looks far harder to chase.
The Fever also went into the matchup with momentum from July 17, when they beat Seattle 110-107. Clark scored a career-high 45 points in that game, shot 11-of-18 from the field and 6-of-10 from beyond the arc, and added four steals, two blocks and 10 assists. That night also made her the first player in WNBA history with 40-plus points and 10 assists in a single game, a line that explained why her return to Seattle carried so much attention.
Indiana had already taken both meetings with Seattle in 2026, and Tuesday was the last game between the teams this season. That matters because it leaves Seattle, which entered at 6-23, out of chances to answer a team it has not solved yet, while Indiana gets to measure itself against an opponent it has handled every time so far.
The timing of the game gave it extra weight, too. Indiana sent Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston to Chicago for All-Star weekend, and Clark helped Teresa Weatherspoon's team to a 129-122 win over Cynthia Cooper's team there. Now the Fever were back in league play, and the question was less about whether Clark could produce than whether Indiana could keep turning a strong run into something that changes the shape of its season.
