Ryan Nembhard did not play Monday in the 96-88 Summer League win over Memphis because of an illness, leaving his status for the next game unsettled even as he remains day-to-day.
The absence comes after Nembhard had already played in two Las Vegas Summer League appearances and put together 27 points, five rebounds, 16 assists, two steals and one block. That production is why his availability matters now: he has been one of the more productive players in the group, and his next opportunity to return is Thursday versus Oklahoma City.
The update is not a shutdown, but it is not a clean green light either. Nembhard should be considered at least questionable for Thursday, which means the illness kept him out on Monday and leaves his status open heading into the next game rather than settled in advance.
For now, the most useful read is simple. Nembhard is not out for the stretch, but Thursday is the first chance to see whether he is well enough to get back on the floor after missing a game that Memphis still lost.
