Dybantsa was the center of it from the start, with 13 of his points coming in the first half as Washington built a 54-41 lead by halftime. Will Riley led all scorers with 32 points and six rebounds, while Reece Beekman added nine points, three steals and a block for Washington.
The win matters because it kept Washington perfect through two Summer League games and gave Dybantsa another efficient night as a primary option. Sacramento had enough scoring to keep the game from getting out of hand early, with Maxime Raynaud finishing with 20 points and 12 rebounds and Darius Acuff Jr. adding 12 points, four assists and a block.
The Kings did make one push. They outscored Washington 24-21 in the third quarter to trim the margin entering the fourth, but the Wizards answered by stretching the lead to 20 points with less than two minutes remaining. That was the difference between a brief opening and an actual comeback.
