Grant Enfinger moved to third in Stage 2 at Lime Rock Park on July 11, 2026, giving the NASCAR Truck Series veteran a sharp jump in the Liuna 150 after opening the day ninth in Stage 1.
The result came on a day when the race at the 1.48-mile road course in Limeville, CT was scheduled for 100 laps and the front row belonged to Layne Riggs and Connor Mosack. Riggs won Stage 1, then Kaden Honeycutt took Stage 2 while Layne Riggs finished second and Enfinger slotted in behind them, a cleaner and stronger run than his first-stage finish suggested.
That matters because stage points can turn a steady road-course afternoon into a useful points day, and Enfinger’s rise from ninth to third showed he found speed after the opening segment without needing to lead the stage narrative. On a track where position is hard to win back, climbing six spots between stages is the kind of recovery that keeps a driver in the mix even when the early order does not favor him.
The wider race was already shaping up around the leaders and the interruptions around them. Ben Maier stalled on track under caution with a fuel issue, Ty Majeski hit the turn one tire barrier after losing brakes on lap 45, and the caution followed that crash. Still, Enfinger’s name held near the top of the stage chart rather than in the list of drivers caught up in those incidents, which makes his third-place finish more notable than it first appears.
Stage three began with Cole Butcher and Friesen running door to door for the lead, leaving Enfinger to build from a strong stage result rather than from the front. The next question is not whether he had speed in Stage 2, but whether that pace can carry through the rest of the Liuna 150 on a course that rewards clean track position and punishes small mistakes.
