LALIGA and CANAL+ Polska have signed a new audiovisual rights agreement that gives CANAL+ the exclusive broadcast of LALIGA EA SPORTS in Poland for the next five seasons, through the end of the 2030/31 campaign. All matches will be carried live on CANAL+ sports channels and on the CANAL+ streaming service.
The timing matters because the new LALIGA EA SPORTS season starts on 14 August, putting the deal in front of viewers just as the competition gets ready to return. From the 2026/27 season, CANAL+ will hold the exclusive Polish rights, turning a relationship that has already brought LALIGA EA SPORTS to fans in Poland into a longer and tighter arrangement.
The coverage will stretch across the league’s biggest fixtures, including ELCLÁSICO and the Madrid Derby, as well as clubs such as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Athletic Club, Sevilla FC and Valencia CF. For Polish viewers, that means one place for the full competition rather than a split rights map.
That shift also sits against CANAL+’s wider sports portfolio in Poland, which already includes the UEFA Champions League, PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa and the Premier League. The company said the new agreement fits its push to strengthen its standing as the first-choice channel for sports fans, while Edyta Sadowska said CANAL+ keeps investing in a broader sports offer and sees the rights to all LALIGA matches as another example of that strategy.
There is still a small but important wrinkle in the timeline. The exclusive Polish arrangement begins in the 2026/27 season, which means the next LALIGA EA SPORTS campaign is still covered by the existing setup before the new five-year deal takes full effect. The broader message, though, is clear: CANAL+ is locking in one of European football’s most watched leagues for the long run, and every match will sit inside the new CANAL+ ULTRA offer.
Rebeca Díaz said CANAL+ has strong experience in premium sports broadcasting and a deep understanding of the Polish market, adding that the direct deal reflects confidence in the broadcaster as the right partner to keep growing LALIGA EA SPORTS in Poland. CANAL+ Group already carries LALIGA in more than 40 countries worldwide, including Sub-Saharan Africa and Haiti, but this agreement gives its Polish operation the most complete version yet of the competition. For viewers, the next fixed date is 14 August; for the broadcasters, the real test begins when the new season starts and the countdown to 2026/27 begins in the background.
