Olivia Miles will miss Monday’s game against the Connecticut Sun because of a right calf injury, and the Lynx said she is unavailable after opening her rookie season by playing in every game. The absence comes at a sharp moment for a team that leads the standings at 15-5 and has leaned heavily on Miles all season.
Miles has averaged 18.5 points, 5.7 assists and 4.8 rebounds in 30.5 minutes per game through 20 games, numbers that help explain why her first missed game matters. She was also named a starter for the 2026 All-Star Game in Chicago last week, the only rookie to receive that honor this season.
The injury became public in steps. Cheryl Reeve said Miles dealt with cramping during Friday’s loss to the New York Liberty, a game in which she played 26 minutes. By Sunday evening, Miles was listed as questionable with a right calf injury before the report turned into a firm out call for Monday.
That leaves the Lynx trying to manage another lineup change while they stay at the top of the league. Dorka Juhasz is probable to make her season debut Monday after a right foot injury, while Napheesa Collier remains out as she works back from offseason ankle surgeries. The immediate question is not whether Miles can help this week, but how long a calf injury that started as cramping will keep the rookie standout off the floor.
