Aj Brown was ranked 80th in NFL.com's 2026 NFL Top 100 after another season that kept him near the center of Philadelphia's passing game. In 2025, Brown played 15 games, caught 78 passes for 1,003 yards and scored seven receiving touchdowns.
The ranking matters because the NFL Top 100 is voted on by the players themselves, and NFL.com is unveiling the list on X now. Brown's numbers explain why he stayed on it: he led Philadelphia with 121 targets and led the team in catches, while averaging 12.9 yards per reception and posting his fourth straight season with more than 1,000 receiving yards.
He also managed a third straight year with seven touchdown catches, a sign that his production never really dipped even as his standing on the list did. Brown finished second in the NFL in receiving yards on hitch routes with 263 and a touchdown, trailing George Pickens, who led the league with 275 yards on that route. That kind of detail helps explain why players still view him as terrific even after the slide.
What followed his final season in Philadelphia was not a question of whether he could still play. Brown's season carried more noise off the field than on it, but the numbers kept landing the same way: Philadelphia kept feeding him, and he kept producing. For all the distraction, he remained one of the league's best receivers, just not at the peak height of his earlier Top 100 seasons.
NFL.com will keep rolling out two players a day Monday through Friday through Aug. 21, then shift to one Top 10 player each weekday beginning Aug. 24. Brown's place at 80th is already the clearest snapshot of how his peers graded him after a year that still looked strong on paper, even if it came with more static around it than usual.
