The new enclosed Nissan Stadium is on track to be finished in February 2027, a major step for a project that has been under construction since 2024 on Nashville's East Bank. Once the building is complete, events are expected to begin in April, giving the Tennessee Titans a new home for their 2027 season.
The stadium is expected to cost around $2.2 billion, and it stands at the center of a much larger East Bank remake that is still only partly out of the ground. The 550 acres tied to the effort were mostly vacant or used for industrial purposes, and the work now stretches from affordable housing at Eastpoint Flats to future hotel, transit and cultural projects spread across Davidson County and the riverfront.
That wider plan is moving in pieces. Metro Nashville-owned land includes Eastpoint Flats, an affordable housing project with a childcare center that is expected to be complete in 2029. The first hotel project on the East Bank could break ground as early as mid-2027, and the new TPAC facility is expected to begin construction no later than June 30, 2027. Planning is also underway to redevelop the former PSC Metals scrapyard into East Bend, while site preparation is already underway at Oracle Corp.'s River North campus, where above-ground building is set to begin this year.
That is what makes the stadium timetable matter now: it is the one piece of the East Bank plan with a hard finish line already in view, even as most of the surrounding redevelopment remains in early phases. The pedestrian bridge between the Neuhoff District and River North is not due to start until August and will take about two years to finish, another sign that the district around the stadium will keep changing long after the doors open.
For the Titans, the immediate marker is simple. February 2027 is the target for completion, April is when events are likely to start, and the team is set to play its 2027 season there. After that, the next milestone is even larger: the Super Bowl is scheduled for the new stadium in 2030, turning the project from a construction job into a national stage for Nashville.
