That is why the 30-year-old is being searched now. Sánchez has made 45 competitive appearances for Galatasaray this season and scored two goals, while reports say he is open to a Serie A switch to work with Cesc Fabregas. For Como, the question is no longer whether they like the player. It is whether they will meet the price.
Sánchez’s background explains why this deal carries weight. He left his homeland in 2016 for Ajax, moved to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2017 for €42m, and then joined Galatasaray in 2023 for €9.5m. He is still under contract until June 2029, so any exit would have to clear a long deal as well as a valuation that is already much higher than the fee Galatasaray paid.

The reported openness to a Serie A move helps Como, but it does not erase the gap between interest and agreement.

This is the second year in a row that Como have been linked with Sánchez, and the club’s rise from Serie B just over two years ago to Champions League qualification shows why the move is being discussed at this level. If the clubs can bridge the €15m valuation, it would be one of the clearest signs yet that Como mean to recruit like a side already looking upward.
