Prime Video’s run on the NASCAR Cup Series ended this past weekend, and Adam Alexander, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Steve Letarte are carrying the booth straight into TNT Sports’ five-race summer slate. The move keeps the same three voices in place as the broadcast schedule turns from one partner to the next.
That is why the Prime Video NASCAR Cup announcers are drawing attention now: TNT Sports begins its coverage with the Toyota Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway, and the same trio will call each of the next five races. Alexander joined Prime Video as its lead announcer in 2025, then returned in that role in 2026, while Earnhardt and Letarte came back after working their first season with Prime in 2025.
The timing matters because TNT Sports’ stretch includes the entire In-Season Challenge, a 32-driver bracket that plays out through head-to-head matchups over five weeks. Ty Gibbs won it a year ago, so the booth is stepping into the part of the schedule that carries the most built-in structure and the most at stake for drivers trying to survive round by round.
That also explains the odd language around the broadcast team being “new.” The faces are not new, and neither is the chemistry; what is new is the network label attached to them. Prime was added to the Cup Series broadcast schedule in 2025 as part of a seven-year, $7.7 billion deal that also brought Fox, NBC and TNT Sports into a reshaped calendar with fewer races for Fox and NBC and a five-race summer window for TNT.
For Alexander, the stretch turns a midseason handoff into a continuity story. He moves from Prime Video to TNT Sports without leaving the booth, and he does it at the moment when the schedule shifts from the opening phase of the new broadcast arrangement to the bracket-heavy portion that can define the summer. The next five races are Sonoma Raceway, Chicagoland Speedway, EchoPark Speedway, North Wilkesboro Speedway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and the same three announcers will be on all of them. That is the real story: the broadcast partner changes, but the voice does not.
