Georges is one of the top offensive skill prospects in the 2027 class, and his decision to narrow the list gives each remaining school a clearer shot before he makes his choice. Ohio State is viewed as having the clear advantage, and no running back has committed to the Buckeyes’ 2027 class yet, leaving a door open that the staff still wants to push through.

Georges did not hide why he backed off. He said he wanted to focus on other schools that fit what he is looking for better and felt it was best to put his energy into the places where he sees himself the most. That line fits a recruitment that has already taken shape around relationships, not just promises. Carlos Locklyn has built a close bond with Georges and his family, including a meeting with them in Quebec, and Ohio State has also hosted him on campus for personal visits.

Georgia had been scheduled to meet with Georges about finding a place for him in its offense, but that visit is no longer on the table. The shift leaves the Bulldogs out of the next step in a process that was supposed to bring more clarity, and it makes the July 22 date even more important for the schools still standing. Ohio State also had an official meet up scheduled for the final weekend of last month, another sign that the Buckeyes have stayed active while Georges sorts out the last part of his process.

The remaining picture is simple even if the names are not all public: Georges says he is down to three schools, with two SEC schools and one Big Ten contender still in the mix.
