and are bringing back Power Up with Purpose for Summerfest 2026, and the pitch to fans is simple: buy pit passes for the night’s headliner and the two acts before it at the Generac Power Stage. The program returns for a fourth year as part of a broader slate of fan experiences tied to the Milwaukee festival.

That announcement lands now because the calendar is set. Summerfest runs June 18 through June 20, June 25 through June 27, and July 2 through July 4, and pit passes will go on sale daily at noon on-site beginning June 18, while supplies last. Fans can buy them at the Generac orange shipping container across from the stage using the on-site vending machine, but the organizers did not say how many passes will be available each day.

The fundraising side gives the program more weight than a standard ticket perk. Power Up with Purpose has brought in more than $233,000 for nonprofits supporting disaster response and veteran housing, and this year’s proceeds will benefit ToolBank USA’s Disaster Services program. That program helps provide tools and equipment to volunteers who respond to disasters and work on cleanup, repairs and rebuilding as communities recover.

The same announcement also sets aside one day for a different kind of access. Generac is presenting Military and First Responder Appreciation Day on Saturday, June 27, with free admission from noon to 6 p.m. for active-duty military members, veterans, police officers, firefighters and EMTs who show valid ID. The promotion also covers up to four family members, giving the offer a broader reach than a single free ticket.

On the stage itself, Summerfest says the Generac Power Stage with and will again lean across Indie, EDM, Alternative, New Wave and Rock during the nine-day festival in Milwaukee. The lineup stretches through the full run, with Echo & the Bunnymen and on June 18, and on June 19, flipturn and Penelope Road on June 20, Subtronics and Grabbitz on June 25, Elderbrook and Big Wild on June 26, Wolfmother and King Buffalo on June 27, Candlebox and Buckcherry on July 2, Spoon and Ax and the Hatchetmen on July 3, and the BoDeans 40th Anniversary show with The Jayhawks on July 4.

Generac Power Systems is entering its sixth year as a Summerfest stage sponsor, and the details now give fans something concrete to plan around: when to line up, who qualifies for free entry, and which nights are tied to the pit-pass program. The only part still left to the gate is supply, because those passes will be sold until they run out.
