is back on Thursday, July 9 at 8 p.m. ET on , and the Season 20 trailer puts back in the middle of the fight. Carmella Garcia joins the group as the newest Housewife, giving the milestone season a new face as the cast heads into another round of old grudges and fresh conflict.

That matters now because the first look dropped with the full cast line-up and premiere date on June 11, turning the next season into a countdown instead of a vague tease. Gunvalson returns alongside , , , , Emily Simpson and Jennifer Pedranti, and the show will stream the next day on , so the rollout is immediate and unavoidable for viewers who follow the franchise closely.

Garcia arrives with a résumé that makes her hard to ignore: she is a former Playboy Playmate of the Year and a WWE wrestler, and Jennifer introduces her to the group. Gunvalson does not warm up to the new arrival. She says she does not like new girls, compares Garcia to Cruella de Vil, and tells her she started the franchise. Garcia fires back that Gunvalson is new too this year and that everything has an expiration, which is exactly the kind of line that turns a casting note into a feud.

The bigger strain runs through Gunvalson’s effort to bring the Tres Amigas back together. She says she is on a mission to reunite the group and that she has been caught in the middle of two really good friends for a long time, but Shannon Storms Beador tells Emily Simpson, “I’m not gonna be dumb and go back.” That leaves Gunvalson trying to relaunch a friendship trio that the season itself seems determined to test rather than restore.

The trailer adds even more pressure around that struggle, with questions about Gunvalson’s relationship with Michael Smith and her warning that she is about to lose her f--king mind. She also says everybody can get the f--k out of her home before storming off, while Emily Simpson says she might be at her end with Shane Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter says, “Can I do this forever?” By the time Season 20 starts, the show is not just welcoming back a familiar face; it is asking whether the old alliances that built it can survive what comes next.

Gunvalson may be back, but the season’s opening argument is plain: bringing the Tres Amigas into the same frame does not mean they leave it intact.
