Peacock is taking Love Island USA Season 8 to the big screen for one night only, putting Casa Amor fallout in 28 theaters nationwide on June 22 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. Fans who want a seat can reserve one through Fandango.
The move comes after Love Island USA Season 8 launched on June 2 and quickly became one of Peacock's loudest titles this summer. The first few episodes drew 824M minutes viewed since launch, NBCUniversal said that was up 74% from Season 7, and the season generated more than 43M video views across platforms. In that context, the theater screening turns a streaming date into an event people can gather around.
Casa Amor is the twist that sends a new group of singles into the villa to test the existing couples, and that is the part Peacock is betting fans want to watch together. That choice also highlights the unusual split at the center of the rollout: a dating series built for streaming and social sharing is now being given a limited theatrical run, something most unscripted shows never get.
Peacock has not said why these 28 theaters were chosen, but the setup is clear enough. Love Island USA is moving from the app to the auditorium for a single night, and the audience that cares most about the fallout now has a fixed date, a fixed time and a small number of seats to claim before June 22.
