Dallas Police have identified the man killed in a June 9 shooting on North Masters Drive as Myron Henry, 42, two days after the attack left one person dead and another hospitalized. The case remains open under case numbers 083361-2026.
Police responded at about 7:50 p.m. to the 2000 block of North Masters Drive, where three unidentified suspects were seen shooting at the location. The gunfire struck two men and several vehicles, and the suspects fled before officers arrived. One victim died at the scene. Dallas Fire-Rescue took the other man to the hospital in stable condition.
Henry’s name was released on June 11 after the medical examiner was expected to help identify the deceased victim. That update gave the case a face, but it did not answer the question that still hangs over it: why the shooting started at all, or why the suspects chose that location. For investigators, the urgent task is now to tie the scene, the vehicles and the witnesses together before the trail goes cold.
The broader pattern is plain enough. This was not a brief dispute that ended with one person hit and one car damaged. It was a fast-moving shooting that reached more than one target and ended with three suspects gone before police arrived. Anyone with information was asked to contact Det. C. Shelton, #7760, at 214-671-4740 or [email protected].
