FOX is ending Is Running Wild tonight with strapped into one of the show’s biggest set pieces yet: a helicopter climb over the Irish Sea, a jump from 10,000 feet and a parachute descent that leaves him cheering on the way down. Domingo appears in the season finale with Grylls as the two prepare for the skydive in a one-night broadcast event.

The finale matters now because it puts Domingo in front of viewers at the exact moment the series is closing out its run, and the stunt is built around a simple premise: a star who says he had never jumped before is asked to step out into open air anyway. As the helicopter rose, Grylls told him they were only halfway up, and Domingo shot back that they were already high enough.

That exchange does most of the work. Domingo, visibly anxious before the jump, even said, “No, no, I’ve never jumped before.” Grylls answered with a grin, “What could go wrong?” and Domingo replied, “Man, let’s not go there.” By the time the helicopter reached 10,000 feet, the two were still preparing to go, and the line between confidence and panic had already blurred.

Once they jumped, the moment turned. Domingo cheered and screamed on the descent, then appeared all smiles after the parachute opened. Grylls has built this series around exactly that kind of celebrity test, sending guests into extreme outdoor settings. Previous episodes took to a glacier in Norway and MGK off the grid, but tonight’s finish has the cleaner hook: one jump, one guest, one ending.

It also lands alongside another Domingo project that is drawing attention. He has been speaking about , a new film that also stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth and Wyatt Russell. Domingo called it “one of the most hopeful films that anyone can see right now,” adding that it is about “Steven’s heart and his belief of what we could be if we invite the unknown in.” For viewers tuning in tonight, though, the question is narrower and immediate: how far does Domingo push himself before the parachute finally opens?
