Daisy Jones & the Six has landed on ITVX, and the full 10-part drama is now available to watch free of charge. For ITV viewers, that means a series that first aired on Prime Video has suddenly become an easy add to the watchlist.

The timing matters because the search for it is being driven by the kind of word-of-mouth that follows a show people finish quickly. Set in the 1970s and adapted from Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel, the drama follows the rise and collapse of a fictional rock band whose story is told through Daisy Jones, played by Riley Keough, and frontman Dilly Dunne, played by Sam Claflin. The cast also includes Camila Morrone, Suki Waterhouse, Josh Whitehouse and Timothy Olyphant, but the pairing at the centre of it remains the draw: a band, a breakup and the story of what happened in between.

The official setup is blunt about the shape of the tale. In 1977, Daisy Jones and The Six were on top of the world, then they walked away after a sold-out show at Soldier Field and, decades later, agreed to tell the truth. That frame has helped the series win a loyal following, with viewers describing it as a standout adaptation, praising the soundtrack and calling it, in one case, “unmissable brilliance.”

There is, though, a catch that keeps the conversation from running too far ahead of the facts. No second series has been confirmed, even if Claflin, Keough and Reid have all spoken openly about the idea of another season. Claflin has said the three of them were asking why they were not making one and were even starting to put ideas together, but for now that remains talk, not a commission.

So the immediate story is simple: the whole run is now free to stream on ITVX. What happens after that is less certain, and that uncertainty is part of the appeal. The show has found a new audience on a new platform; whether it gets a return date is still up to the people making the decision.
