In The Park has revealed its full line-up for a three-day takeover of City Park in Stirling, Scotland, with set to headline on Saturday night and Simple Minds closing the festival on Sunday night. The annual event will run from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th September, and tickets go on sale on Wednesday June 10th at 8.30am.

The announcement lands now because fans have a narrow window to plan for one of the broadcaster’s biggest live events of the year. Friday’s pre-party will also be part of the weekend, with DJ sets from , DJ Spoony, Gary Davies, Michelle Visage and , while tickets for that night are priced at £40 plus booking fee. Saturday and Sunday tickets start from £84 plus booking fee.

Chaka Khan said she could not wait to share the songs and make beautiful memories in Stirling, which she described as a magical place with the charm and spirit of the “Gateway to the Highlands.” The singer’s Saturday night slot gives the weekend one of its biggest names up front, with Emeli Sandé, Lulu, James Blunt, Jack Savoretti and Blue also among the acts due to perform across the festival.

For Simple Minds, the Stirling date carries extra weight. said the band were delighted to be playing in Scotland and said the show would be their first and only UK gig this year, making Sunday night especially significant for British fans. He added that the group planned an upbeat set built around crowd participation and expected the place to be “jumping up and down.”

The festival’s shape now looks clear, even if the full day-by-day running order has not been published. Danny O’Donoghue also told Radio 2 that would play Superheroes, The Man Who Can’t Be Moved and Breakeven, giving fans another reason to circle the date. With tickets about to go on sale and one of the country’s best-known Scottish bands offering their only UK performance of the year, Stirling is set to become the focus of Radio 2’s live calendar this September.
