has reignited talk about his long-ended marriage to after a resurfaced clip showed him joking that he wore white to their 2002 wedding just to p*** her off. The remark has put the former couple back in the spotlight, with fans of Katona quickly jumping to her defence.

The clip is being searched now because McFadden, 46, is on tour with Boyzone's as , and the footage has started circulating again online. In it, he said, “It’s ok, it’s ok, we’re friends now, we’re friends I follow her on Facebook,” before adding that they have “two beautiful daughters” and that they are “women” now. Katona is 45, and their daughters, , 25, and , 23, are both adults.

McFadden and Katona were married for four years before divorcing 20 years ago, but he said they have “kinda buried the hatchet” and made friends. He then turned the exchange back into a joke, saying it is a nightmare getting parking outside her house on Father’s Day, that he has to park at the NCP and walk two miles, and that he should get a priority spot because he has “two of those kids.”

That is where the clip lands awkwardly. McFadden insists the pair are on friendly terms, but the barbed line about wearing white to annoy Katona, followed by the parking joke, gives the exchange a sharper edge than a simple nostalgia chat. He even laughed off the idea that he really follows her on Facebook, saying, “Of course I don’t f****** follow her on Facebook - Don’t be ridiculous!”

What has not been answered in the resurfaced footage is how Katona has responded, if she has responded at all. For now, the renewed attention appears to rest on a familiar public split between two former spouses who share two daughters, with the conversation driven less by their past marriage than by McFadden’s decision to turn it into a punchline again.
