The United Football League put Jack Plummer in the MVP race on June 5, naming the Orlando Storm quarterback one of four finalists for the 2026 Most Valuable Player Award. Plummer joined Cam Gill, Derick Roberson and Jordan Ta'amu on a list that reflects how the league’s best regular-season performers shaped the playoff field.
Plummer has the numbers to match the nomination. He led the UFL with 2,188 passing yards, completed 195 of 300 passes for a 65.0% completion rate, and threw 17 touchdown passes against one interception. He also added 189 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns, finished with 20 total touchdowns and 2,377 total offensive yards, and helped push Orlando to an 8-2 record and the league’s No. 1 overall playoff seed. He won UFL Offensive Player of the Week honors in Week 8, the same stretch that kept the Storm on top.
The finalists were chosen by a panel made up of media members, broadcast partners, coaches and team football personnel from all eight teams, using performances from the 10-game regular season. That frame matters because the MVP award is meant to capture impact across the full season, not just a hot streak, and Plummer’s place near the top of nearly every offensive category made him a natural fit.
But the list also shows how much value the league attached to production even when the season did not last all year. Jordan Ta'amu made the finalist group after throwing for 1,515 yards and 14 touchdowns before a knee injury ended his season in Week 8. His inclusion gives the panel’s decision more weight: it was looking at what players did before injuries, not only who finished the season healthy.
Plummer’s case is simple. He was the quarterback driving the league’s best seed, he led the league in passing yards, and he produced more total offense than any other player in the UFL this season. The only thing left is the winner, and the league has not said when the 2026 UFL Most Valuable Player Award will be announced.
