CMA Fest is coming back to downtown Nashville this week, taking over the city from Thursday, June 4 through Sunday, June 7, with nightly headliners at Nissan Stadium and free daytime stages spread across the festival footprint. Ella Langley is among the names set for the stadium shows, alongside Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and other performers.
That matters now because the four-day festival covers just above two square miles, and the routes in and out of the area are already part of the story. Officials are steering general ticket holders toward walking, rideshare and public parking, with most stages clustered around the greater Broadway area and Nissan Stadium sitting just across the pedestrian bridge from the main festival zone.
The festival’s scale is also why the logistics are so specific. The CMA Connect App will carry stage-capacity updates, weather notices and maps, while Fan Fair X inside Music City Center will host the CMA Close Up Stage and Spotlight Stage for ticketed entry. At Nissan Stadium, the main and platform stages are also ticket-holder only, making the difference between free daytime access and paid nighttime shows part of how the week will unfold.
Weather is not expected to drive the festival off course, but attendees will still have to watch the sky. Highs should reach the mid 80s with lower humidity, and no severe weather is expected, yet a few thunderstorms could pop up on Saturday and the chance for rain improves a bit by Sunday. That is enough to keep umbrellas in play without turning the weekend into a washout.
For people headed downtown, the best move is simple: plan the trip before the music starts. Pedestrians can use the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, Woodland Street Bridge or Korean Veterans Boulevard Bridge, while rideshare pickups and drop-offs are set at Crutcher Street between S 2nd St and S 3rd St. The festival opens Thursday, and by Sunday night the biggest question is not whether CMA Fest showed up, but which parts of downtown can still absorb the crowd when the last headliner leaves Nissan Stadium.
