Love Island turned its first dumping twist into a fresh test on Thursday, 4 June, when Ellie and Samraj were brought back from the Hideaway and introduced to two new bombshells, Priya and Kavan. The pair were not out of the competition yet, but their place in the villa was suddenly hanging on what the newcomers decided next.
The timing matters because viewers had already watched Wednesday’s episode end with Ellie and Samraj chosen to leave after bombshells Yasmin and George were secretly sent in to pick one boy and one girl to dump after their first 24 hours in Mallorca. Instead of leaving altogether, Ellie and Samraj were moved to the Hideaway, where they met Priya, a business development manager, and Kavan, an electrician, before returning to the main villa with them.
Kavan made no secret of what he wanted from the show. “Finding love is definitely the goal,” he said, adding that although Love Island always brings drama, he sees himself as “quite a chilled person” who will “stay calm and collected.” Priya was just as direct. “I will go for what I want,” she said. “Genuinely, I can’t fake stuff. My face tells a story. If I’m not feeling something, it’s going to be quite obvious.”
Ellie’s first meeting with Kavan came with an awkward twist of its own: she discovered he is Aidan’s brother. That added another layer to an already uneasy setup, because the two Islanders who had survived the dumping were then told they were still not fully safe. If Priya and Kavan do not couple up with them, Ellie and Samraj can still be eliminated.
That leaves the villa in a short, sharp holding pattern. The first dumping has already changed the line-up, George has also left the villa for personal reasons after sharing a kiss with Robyn, and Thursday night’s episode pushed the spotlight onto whether the new arrivals will keep Ellie and Samraj in the game.
