The decision matters now because supporters planning ahead for next season already know what they will pay, and Chelsea have also confirmed that general sale tickets will remain £5 above member prices across all categories. The pricing freeze comes after the club raised single-match general admission tickets by four per cent for the 2025-26 campaign and cut the season ticket holder discount by three per cent, so the latest move is likely to be welcomed by match-going fans who have felt the squeeze.
Chelsea Supporters Trust said it welcomed the policy and called it a significant and positive decision. The club, which finished 10th in the Premier League, said it would keep working on ticketing policies to make the system fairer and more secure, adding that it wants access to real tickets for real fans. That sits against recent changes already in place, including ID verification for supporters over 16 buying match tickets and a new balloting system for members.
There is still a practical limit to how much relief the freeze can bring. Chelsea will host 19 Premier League home games next season, enter the Carabao Cup in the second round and begin the FA Cup from the third round, but the total number of home dates will stay well below seasons that included European football. For supporters, the important thing is that the club has set its pricing for 2026-27, and for now it has chosen stability over another rise.
