Dan + Shay will headline a free concert outside Lenovo Center in Raleigh on Thursday, June 4, giving fans a pregame show before Game 2 of the 2026 Stanley Cup Final. The performance starts at 5:30 p.m. ET, with Carolina Hurricanes and Vegas Golden Knights set to face off at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The National Hockey League said the concert is open to the public and no ticket is needed for the outdoor performance, a draw for fans in Raleigh who want to be part of the night even without a seat inside. For those who do have game tickets, doors to Lenovo Center open at 6:30 p.m. ET.

That split matters. Fans without tickets can still stay on Lenovo Center's South Plaza for an on-site watch party, but the game itself is reserved for ticket holders once the building opens. The setup turns the arena district into a full evening event, with the concert serving as the first act and the final itself following less than three hours later.

Portions of the performance will be featured in coverage of the game broadcast on ABC,, Sportsnet, CBC and TVA Sports. Dan Smyers, who co-produced the duo's fifth studio album Bigger Houses with Scott Hendrick, and Shay Mooney have built a live act that the league is using to frame one of hockey's biggest nights.

The booking also lands as Dan + Shay enter a busy stretch. The three-time GRAMMY Award-winning duo recently secured their eleventh number one single at country radio with the title track of Bigger Houses, and they are set to release Young in August 2026 before heading out on The Young Tour in the second half of 2026. Thursday's crowd may be the first large public look at that run-up, but the immediate question is simpler: how many people will turn out for a free concert outside a Stanley Cup Final?
