Love Island has found its youngest contestant for 2026, and her name is Mica Harris. The 21-year-old student from Barbados, who lives in London, has been introduced ahead of the show's return on Monday 1 June at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
That makes Harris one of the first new names viewers will be searching for as the series comes back tonight. She says finding love is her main goal in the villa, and she has already made clear she is looking for a tall man — someone who makes her feel slightly small beside him.
Harris, who has 12,500 followers on Instagram at the time of reporting, also says she wants to come in with the right attitude. She says she does not plan to start drama, but adds that if drama is happening she would be a little nosy and want to know what is going on.
She is also putting one thing above any early spark: getting on with the other women in the villa. Harris says it is super important that she gets along with the girls there, a reminder that the social side of Love Island can decide just as much as the romance.
There is a practical edge to how Harris says she will handle the chase, too. If she sets her sights on someone and the feeling is not returned, she says she will step back, have a think and change direction rather than force it.
For viewers, that leaves a clear first impression before the villa doors open. Harris arrives as the youngest Islander in the Love Island 2026 line-up, and the unanswered question is not whether she wants love — it is who, if anyone, will be there to match her energy when the series begins tonight.
