Roku added four new free live channels to Roku TVs and Roku streaming players in June 2026, giving viewers more live programming in the platform’s Live TV guide without a subscription fee. The lineup now includes FIFA Plus Women on channel 5243, Sports Illustrated on channel 227, Stingray Hooked on channel 5306 and FIFA Plus Espanol on channel 929.
The additions land at a time when Roku is trying to keep its free offering visible in a crowded streaming market, and the company is leaning on sports and outdoor programming to do it. The new channels are ad-supported, but they sit inside The Roku Channel ecosystem and add another way for users to sample live content without paying extra.
For many Roku users, the timing matters because the platform already had hundreds of live channels before this rollout, and the latest update pushes that free lineup a little further. Viewers can find the channels through Roku’s Live TV guide on supported devices, where the new sports-heavy options are mixed in with the rest of the service’s free live feed.
FIFA Plus Women is built around women’s soccer, with match highlights, analysis and original programming centered on female athletes. Sports Illustrated runs as a 24/7 stream of news, analysis and highlights across major leagues and events, while Stingray Hooked brings fishing adventures, expert tips and footage from lakes, rivers and oceans around the world. FIFA Plus Espanol adds a Spanish-language channel focused on women’s competitions as well as broader international matches, analysis and cultural features.
What Roku has not said is whether the four channels are available in every region or only in supported markets. For now, the company’s latest move is straightforward: it is filling out The Roku Channel’s free live guide with more niche programming, and making that lineup a little harder for competitors to match without charging viewers for access.
