has scheduled a PlayStation State of Play for June 2, 2026, and Marvel’s Wolverine is the only game currently listed for the show. The presentation is set for 2pm PT, 5pm ET and 10pm BST, with Wolverine expected to open an hour-plus stream built around updates, announcements and gameplay reveals from top studios around the world.

That is why PlayStation fans are watching this date so closely. The confirmed lineup is thin, but the timing and the promise of new PS5 news have turned the state of play into a search magnet, especially with Marvel’s Wolverine ahead of its September 15 release and positioned as the event’s lead attraction.

There is precedent for Sony using this format to pack in surprises. Last year’s equivalent stream brought Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, Nioh 3 and Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, while also showing new looks at 007 First Light, Silent Hill f, Ghost of Yotei and Pragmata. That history is part of the reason expectations have spread well beyond the one confirmed listing.

Still, most of the other names circulating around the June 2 showcase remain speculation. Some of the talk points to after it announced a full remake of the original Kratos trilogy in February and shadow-dropped God of War: Sons of Sparta the same month, while reports have also linked the studio to a spin-off centered on Kratos’ wife, Faye, and a separate new IP at a studio led by . ’s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet has been part of the conversation too, but it was revealed almost 18 months ago and the only glimpse of it so far has been its trailer. has called it the studio’s “most ambitious game,” yet that still leaves the June 2 show with one confirmed card on the table and everything else hanging in the air.

’s Saros, ’ Horizon Hunters Gathering and another Gran Turismo are also being discussed by fans, but none of them is listed for the presentation. That leaves the cleanest read on June 2 exactly where Sony has put it: Marvel’s Wolverine starts the show, and the rest will have to earn a place on the screen.
