Jet2 is adding two new exclusive Greece routes from Leeds Bradford Airport for summer 2027, with Santorini set to get weekly Thursday flights and Preveza scheduled on Sundays. Both services are due to run through the autumn, giving Yorkshire holidaymakers fresh options from one of the region’s busiest summer programmes.
The move comes as Jet2 opens bookings for a Leeds Bradford programme that now stretches to almost two million seats across 53 routes, and it comes at a time when many people want to lock in summer 2027 plans early, according to chief executive Steve Heapy. The airline is also bringing Hurghada and Sharm El Sheik into the Leeds Bradford line-up for the first time, widening the choice for travellers looking beyond the usual short-haul favourites.
Heapy said demand for Jet2’s flights and holidays remains strong and that customers are already looking ahead to summer 2027, a sign that the airline believes early sales will keep building. The Leeds Bradford additions are exclusive to Jet2, which gives the carrier a clear point of difference on a route map that is becoming more crowded with options.
There is a catch inside the expansion: both new Greece routes are seasonal, not year-round, and the last Santorini flight is set for October 7, 2027, with Preveza ending on October 10, 2027. That means the new destinations will be there for the peak travel period, but only for part of the year, even as Jet2 markets the programme as a bigger and broader offer for Yorkshire travellers.
Declan Maguire said the addition of Preveza and Santorini gives Yorkshire even more choice when planning a getaway, from the scenic coastline of Preveza to the appeal of Santorini. For passengers using Leeds Bradford Airport, the immediate question is not whether Jet2 is expanding — it is whether these new routes will sell fast enough to justify the extra summer capacity that now sits on sale.
