canceled two Las Vegas performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on May 29 and May 30 after his doctor advised him to stop singing while he recovered from a sinus infection. told customers the event organizer had canceled the shows and said refunds were available.

The rod stewart vegas show cancellation landed just as fans were checking the calendar for the next dates in his Caesars Palace run. The next performance was still listed for June 2, and Tuesday night’s show at Caesars Palace was also still showing as scheduled even after the weekend dates were pulled.

Stewart said he was on vocal rest as he recovered and apologized to his family of fans. He also said he looked forward to seeing them at a future show at Caesars Palace or on tour this summer. The canceled concerts were part of Stewart’s at the Colosseum, a residency that began in 2012 and has become one of the longest-running stays on the Las Vegas Strip. He surpassed 200 shows at the venue in March 2025, a milestone that underscored how deep this run has gone even as illness has interrupted it before; in June, he missed several shows because of illness, then returned for performances in September and October.

That history is what makes the schedule matter now. Stewart had performed on Wednesday in the current run of dates through next Wednesday, and he was still scheduled for Aug. 18-20 as well. For now, the immediate question is whether the doctor’s advice that forced out the weekend shows will end there or spread to more of the summer calendar. Stewart’s next listed stop is June 2.
